BUND Bank of Fine Wines was established in 2013 in Shanghai by Swiss restaurateur Philippe Huser.
Initially aimed at sourcing and serving a wide range of fine wines to its sister restaurant (NAPA Wine Bar & Kitchen), the concept quickly expanded under strong demand.
The first cellars were located on the Bund, in an old building next to several banks, hence the name ‘Bank of Fine Wines’.
Now the very large stock is kept in modern warehouses with a temperature-controlled process that starts with the shipping of the wines from the domains, and extends all the way through storage and delivery to the final client, with the ultimate aim of respecting each wine and showing it at its optimum condition.
